Native American Collections is a unique, contemporary gallery showcasing the finest Pueblo pottery, Indian jewelry, Zuni fetishes, and
Navajo folk art. We also carry current books dealing with Native
American Indian arts. Our potters use traditional techniques and
materials for their work: digging the clay, using the coiling methods,
using natural pigments and paints, stone and rag polishing, and firing
outside.
We work with such well known potters as Russell Sanchez, Nathan Youngblood,
Jennifer Moquino, Nancy Youngblood, Grace Medicine Flower, Dolores Curran,
Richard Zane Smith, Steve Lucas, Hubert Candelario, and many more. We
feature pottery from San Ildefonso, Santa Clara, Hopi, Cochiti, Acoma, Zia,
Zuni, San Felipe, San Juan, Laguna, Jemez, Santo Domingo and the Navajo
Nation. Our Indian jewelry is all handmade, using sterling silver, 14 K
gold, and traditional stones.
Our gallery was established in 1994, and we began showing on the Internet in 1998. We work by appointment, and on the web.
